Using Video IDs to avoid double uploads

Playeur offers select channels the ability to import and sync from YouTube. Users that use sync or import services to upload their content from YouTube can use the YouTube Video ID field to ensure that any content they directly upload is not duplicated by the import or sync service. Those services will avoid uploading a video for which the YouTube Video ID already exists on the channel.

You can determine the Video ID of an existing YouTube video by examining the video's URL. Here are a couple of examples with the Video ID bolded:

Please note that:

  • The Video ID will always be located after v=
  • The Video ID may be followed by additional information, starting with &.
